Alan Roberts, Chairman
Alan Roberts is Chairman of the Ok Tedi Mining Ltd Board. He is a metallurgist who retired from Rio Tinto in 2003 after 32 years at operations throughout the world. From 1999 to 2003 he was with Lihir Gold Ltd in PNG, where he became Chief Executive Officer.
From 1996 to 1999 he was with Kelian Equatorial Mining in Indonesia, where he became Managing Director. He was General Manager-Metallurgy for the design of the Century Mine in Queensland, Australia.
Between 1983 and 1994 he was General Manager- Operations for the Imperial Smelting Process lead/ zinc smelters at Avonmouth, UK and Cockle Creek, New South Wales, Australia. From 2003 to 2004 he was Managing Director of Indophil Resources NL; was non-executive director of Golden China Resources (until taken over by Sino Gold Ltd); and is currently in the Investment Committee of Taurus Investment Fund.

Alan Breen, Managing Director, OTML
Alan Breen has held the role of Managing Director since May 2007.
He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of Adelaide. As a metallurgist with Anglo American Corporation, Mr Breen worked extensively around the African continent until the mid 1980’s when he moved to Australia.
Over the past 20 years he has worked in senior management and executive roles with Rio Tinto, Xstrata and RGC in gold, base metals, aluminium and coal sectors.

Professor Ross Garnaut AO, Papua New Guinea Sustainable Development Program Limited
Professor Ross Garnaut AO is Professor of Economics, Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies, Australian National University (ANU). He is the Chair Climate Change and Policy Response to Climate Change Review for the Australian government.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences of Australia and Honorary Professor, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Professor Garnaut is the author of numerous books, monographs and articles on international economics, public finance and international development, particularly in relation to East Asia and the Southwest Pacific.
He was a key Finance Ministry advisor to the PNG government in the 1970s, and has had a long association with Papua New Guinea.
He is the chairman of OTML’s 52 per cent shareholder, PNG Sustainable Development Program Limited, which was founded in 2002.

Jochen Tilk, Inmet Mining Corporation
Jochen Tilk joined Inmet in 1998 and was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer on 5 February 2005. He is a mining engineer and holds a masters degree from the University of Aachen, Germany.
He has held a number of senior positions since joining Inmet. He was appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer in June 2003 and joined the Executive Team in March 1999 as Vice-President, Technical Services. Before that he was President of Copper Range Company and General Manager at Inmet’s Winston Lake mine.
Mr Tilk joined the Board of Directors of OTML as the Inmet representative director in 2003.

Simon Tosali, Secretary Papua New Guinea Treasury Department
Simon Tosali is the nominated director representing the Government of Papua New Guinea. He has held this role since 2002.

Nigel Parker, Company Secretary, OTML
Nigel Parker holds a Masters of Commerce Degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia and is a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
He brings to OTML some 30 years of business experience, sixteen of those years with BHP Steel / BlueScope Steel in management appointments in the USA, Sri Lanka, Thailand, China, PNG and Australia.
