Sir Moi Avei | Chairman (Independent)

Sir Moi is a senior Statesman and former politician. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Queensland, Australia.
He was the Member for Parliament for the Kairuku Hiri Electorate for three terms from 1992 to 2007. He was Deputy Prime Minister from 2004 to 2006 and held various ministerial portfolios including Higher Education, National Planning, Bougainville Affairs and Petroleum and Energy.
He is currently the Chairman of the Pacific International Hospital, PNG Water Limited and a Board Member of the 2015 Pacific Games Authority.
Sir Moi is Director of LABA (SPI) Logistics Limited, SPI Joint Venture Limited, and Managing Director of Hiri Consultancy Services, which provides political and policy advice to private sector companies.
He is also Advisor to Digicel (PNG), Portion 11 (Management) Ltd, Pacific Energy Aviation Ltd and Laba Holdings Limited, an umbrella landowner company involved with the PNG LNG Project.
He is also Chairman of a number of landowner companies including Boera Gadona Foundation Limited and Boera Holdings Limited.
Peter GrahamManaging Director / Chief Executive Office

Peter is a chemical engineer by profession and holds a Bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of South Wales in Sydney, Australia.He twice attended executive management programs with th IMEDE in Switzerland and in New Jersey,USA.

Prior to joining OTML, Peter was the Managing Director of ExxonMobil PNG Limited for seven years in which he successfully delievered the country's first Liquified Natural Gas project.

He has over 27 years of experience working for the ExxonMobil Corporation whereby he started with ExxonMobil working in coal mining initially as General Manager, Lemington Coal Mines Limited at Singleton NSW, General Manager Ulan Coal Joint Venture at Mudgee, NSW, and Managing Director, Exxon Coal and Minerals Australia based in Sydney.

He also managed Monterey Coal Mines’ two large underground coal mines in Illinois, USA before moving to Houston, Texas as the Engineering Department Manager looking after the engineering and operations of coal operations in Australia, Colombia and the USA, and copper operations in Chile (Companie Minera Disputada), power investments in Hong Kong, and mine engineering due diligence of tar sands operations in Canada.


He then moved into project management roles, commercializing natural gas in PNG in which he was based in Brisbane for three years working on the PNG Pipeline to Australia Project before converting that project to the PNG LNG project.

Dr Roger Higgins | Director (Independent)

Dr Higgins holds a Bachelor of Engineering-Civil, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy.

He is a former OTML Managing Director and was Senior Vice President (Copper) for Teck Resources in Vancouver, Canada, Chief Operating Officer for BHP Billiton Base Metals in Adelaide, Australia and Vice President Project Development for BHP Billiton Base Metals in Santiago, Chile.

He is currently chairman of the OTML Safety and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) and is a member on various other Boards including advisor and consultant to other mining companies.

He is currently an Adjunct Professor for Sustainable Minerals Institute at the University of Queensland.

Glen Kuri | Director (Independent)

Glen holds a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Technology from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (UNITECH) and has also undergone numerous studies in safety, leadership, general management and more specifically, process control.

He worked with OTML previously for 20 years, performing in various roles including Senior Metallurgist, Shift Supervisor – Mill, Manager Mill Operations, Executive Manager Mill and General Manager Business Support Unit before he retired in 2003.

He has also worked overseas, particularly BHP in Australia in 1978 after he graduated from the UNITECH, then again with BHP in 1988.

He has travelled extensively around the world visiting other mining and processing operations.

Glen is now self-employed and part of his life involves preaching the gospel, supporting churches and helping communities or tribes resolve disputes in his home province of Chimbu.

Dr Jacob Weiss | Director (Independent)

Dr Weiss was a long-serving official with the Bank of Israel and for three years with the US Federal Reserve Bank. He served as Board Member of Mercantile Discount Bank of Israel, and as Chairman and Board member of a large pension superannuation fund with operations in the United States, Europe and Israel.
Dr Weiss also has many years of experience working in PNG. Between 1988 and 1994, and again between 1999 and 2002, he was seconded from the IMF to the Bank of Papua New Guinea, where he has continued to act as an advisor. He has also worked as an advisor in several former Soviet Union Republics.
Dr Weiss was appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Papua New Guinea to Israel in 2007. For all day to day operations, he acts as the Diplomatic Representative of Papua New Guinea to Israel.
Cameron Clark | Company Secretary & General Manager Commercial
Cameron brings to OTML more than 25 years of business experience, including 17 years in management roles in the mineral resources, technology, and liquor industries in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
Cameron holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and is a member of both CPA Australia and CPA PNG.
