Members of the Ok Tedi Mining Limited (OTML) Board recently conducted safety inspections at various operational sites of the company at Tabubil.
The inspections were done while the Directors were in Tabubil for their June Board meeting.
The safety inspections were conducted at the Dr Weiss Training Centre, Warehouse 120, Workshop 1 and the Mess 1 kitchen.
The Board was accompanied by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kedi Ilimbit, Safety Department Team members and the respective operational Managers from each area.
Board Chair, Jeffrey Innes said, “The Board is focussed on supporting site leadership to provide a safe working environment for employees, business partners and visitors. These inspections and interactions with employees directly are a visible demonstration of our commitment to safety.”
He further added that the Board would continue to conduct such inspections and employee interactions in future on site Board meetings.
