Governance

OK Tedi is an unlisted, majority state-owned enterprise operating in accordance and within a diverse network of Acts, legislature and agreements.  

The Board and Management of Ok Tedi are committed to upholding the highest standards of governance, operating in a fair, transparent and ethical way to bring benefits to the people of Papua New Guinea. 

Our Board operates a number of committees to help provide specialised advice and recommendations on certain topics. Committees include: 

  • Appointment and Remuneration Committee 
  • Audit and Risk Committee 
  • Environment, Safety & Governance (ESG) Committee 

We undertake regular external insurance audits to assess our risk exposure and financial audits to ensure the accuracy of our accounts.​ 

Each year, Ok Tedi publicly submits an Annual Review document which reports the integrated financial results and non-financial activities from the previous year. 

The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Papua New Guinea Companies Act of 1997 and non-financial disclosures are guided by The Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) standards. 

Ok Tedi supports the principles of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) and reports information to EITI Papua New Guinea office.
