Ok Tedi Concludes its 90-Day Live Well Campaign

Ok Tedi Mining Limited (Ok Tedi) successfully concluded its 2026 90-Day Live Well Campaign, with a high-energy walkathon that brought employees together in celebration of health, fitness, and teamwork.

The walkathon was led by former Papua New Guinean professional footballer Justin Olam which saw strong participation from employees and business partners across the operation. The event showcased collective energy and a shared commitment to healthier lifestyles, symbolising the campaign’s 90-day journey focused on discipline, resilience, and putting people first.

As part of the campaign close-out, Ok Tedi also presented awards to winners of the 90-day Futsal competition, recognising outstanding teamwork, fitness, and dedication. The competition proved to be one of the most engaging elements of the campaign, strengthening workplace relationships while reinforcing the importance of physical activity and collaboration.

Over the past three months, the Live Well Campaign has driven meaningful behaviour change across the business. This was supported by the rollout of the Live Well App, which empowered employees to take ownership of their wellbeing through goal setting, activity tracking, and access to resources covering fitness, nutrition, and mental health.

Ok Tedi Health Services Manager Raymond Singamis said the success of the campaign reflects a workforce that is increasingly being proactive and concerned about their wellbeing.

“This campaign has shown what is possible when our people are given the right tools and a supportive environment,” Mr Singamis said.

“The enthusiasm we have seen from the launch through to today’s walkathon demonstrates a genuine cultural shift towards healthier living.”

Addressing participants at the closing event, Mr Olam commended employees for their consistency and commitment, encouraging them to maintain the momentum built over the past 90 days.

“Good health isn’t just about today, it’s about being there for your families, your communities, and your future,” Mr Olam said. “Finishing strong is important, but continuing these habits is what really matters.”

The conclusion of the 2026 90-Day Live Well Campaign reinforces Ok Tedi’s long-term commitment to building a safe, healthy, and high-performing workforce. Employees are encouraged to continue using the Live Well App to sustain the positive lifestyle changes achieved during the campaign, ensuring wellbeing remains embedded in everyday life at Ok Tedi and elsewhere.
